Privacy policy

This policy explains which data MoroccoROI (moroccoroi.com) processes, why, for how long, with which providers, and how to exercise your rights. It covers the calculators, the blog, the contact form, the newsletter, the account area and Google AdSense advertising.

1. Data controller

MoroccoROI is an independent project published by Hamza Yerrou, based in Morocco. For any question about your data, use the Contact page (moroccoroi.com/en/contact). We reply within 30 days at most.

2. Data we process

Depending on how you use the site, we process the following categories:

• Calculator inputs: price, rent, rate, and so on. They are computed in your browser and stored only in its local storage (localStorage), together with your language preference. They are not sent to us unless you save a simulation to your account.
• Contact form: name, email address, subject and message. They are forwarded by email through the provider Resend so we can reply.
• Newsletter: your email address and the page where you signed up, stored in our Supabase database.
• User account (optional): email address, name and profile picture if you sign in with Google, phone, country and investor profile if you fill them in, and the simulations you save.
• Audience measurement: pages viewed, visit duration, device type and approximate country, collected by Google Analytics.
• Advertising: cookie identifiers and technical data (IP address, browser) processed by Google and its advertising partners when ads are shown.

3. Purposes and legal bases

We use this data to run the calculators and your account (performance of the service you request), to answer your messages and send the newsletter you subscribed to (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with a simple request through the Contact page), to measure audience and improve our content (legitimate interest or consent depending on your country), and to fund the site through advertising (consent where the law requires it). We never sell personal data.

4. Advertising cookies and Google AdSense

This site shows ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our visitors based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. The list of Google's advertising partners is available in the consent message and at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com). You can also opt out of many third-party vendors' cookies at www.aboutads.info/choices or, in Europe, at www.youronlinechoices.eu. If you opt out, non-personalised ads may still appear.

5. Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message managed by Google (a certified platform that supports the IAB TCF framework) asks for your permission before any non-essential advertising or analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time through the consent management link shown on the site or by clearing your browser cookies.

6. Service providers and transfers

We rely on the following providers, who process data on our behalf or as separate controllers: Vercel (site hosting), Supabase (database and authentication), Resend (sending contact form emails) and Google (Analytics, AdSense and Google sign-in). Their servers may be located outside Morocco, in particular in the European Union or the United States. Google's processing is governed by the Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

7. Retention periods

• Calculator inputs: in your browser, until you clear its storage.
• Contact messages: 24 months at most after the last exchange.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
• Account and saved simulations: until the account is deleted, on request through the Contact page.
• Google Analytics and AdSense cookies: for the periods set by Google, 13 months at most for audience measurement.

8. Your rights

Under Moroccan Law No. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, and under the GDPR for people located in the European Union, you have the right to access, correct, object to and delete your data, and to withdraw your consent. Send your request through the Contact page. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNDP (www.cndp.ma) in Morocco, or with the data protection authority of your country of residence.

9. Children

The site is intended for adults preparing a property investment. We do not knowingly collect data about anyone under 16.

10. Changes

We update this policy when our tools or providers change. The date at the top of the page shows the last real revision of the text.
